Global trade body The Air Charter Association (The ACA), formally announces Emily Williams as its new Chair, with the news having been shared with members at the recent Air Charter Excellence Awards ceremony in London.
Williams is the Co-Founder and Director of IW Aviation and has served as an ACA board member since 2021. She succeeds outgoing Chair Kevin Ducksbury, who has held the role for the past seven years.
Ducksbury has been a prominent figure, overseeing a period of significant growth for the Association and helping to firmly solidify its position as the leading voice in the air charter industry. Under Ducksbury’s tenure, The ACA has grown to 454 members across 64 countries and significantly expanded its executive team, allowing it to better deliver value for members and the wider industry.
Through initiatives such as The ACA Internship, the NextGen Group, Fly Legal Day, and specialist air charter training programmes including the Air Charter Qualification, The Broker Qualification and Air Charter Essentials Certificate, Williams will seek to continue this momentum with a particular focus on supporting the next generation of air charter professionals.
Emily Williams, Chair, The ACA, says: “Having been an ACA board member, I am excited to now take on the responsibility of Chair and play a greater role in shaping the direction of the Association. There are so many outstanding initiatives, but I am particularly keen on supporting the ongoing progress of The ACA Internship, which has been so successful already in helping talented young people start their careers in air charter.
“Additionally, I look forward to overseeing a new addition to the industry calendar, the inaugural Air Charter Expo Regional – Europe taking place at AERO Friedrichshafen from April 14-16, 2027, providing a new platform for the air charter industry to come together in Europe.”
Kevin Ducksbury, Chair, The ACA, says: “It has been a pleasure to have served as Chair of The ACA for the past seven years and I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved in this time, delivering greater value to members; providing guidance, delivering professional training, supporting young people, driving standards and highlighting the vital importance of air charter to the global economy.
“I look forward to passing over the reigns on 1st January and am confident that the Association is in great hands moving forward.”
Emily Williams will formally take on the responsibilities of Chair from 01 January 2027.
