London, UK – Business aviation operator Luxaviation UK is this month celebrating its 30th anniversary by showcasing the future of the industry and its career opportunities.
In celebration of the 30-year milestone, Luxaviation UK invited 30 students from Stansted Airport College to spend a day at its own office in Stapleford and facilities at Stansted Airport.
The students rotated around the departments at both locations, chatting to management, operational and marketing teams, experiencing the day-to-day functions of the business aviation industry. Stapleford Flight Centre’s Course Coordinator, Helen Ayres, demonstrated a flight simulator and aircraft on the runway.
Student participant Ellis Ryan said: “The experience definitely expanded my understanding of the range of career opportunities available. I now have a better appreciation of how many different areas are involved in keeping operations running smoothly, from maintenance to operations and management.”
Student participant Oliver Park said: “Being able to have a close-up look at different private jets and seeing the maintenance going into these jets was really insightful. At Stapleford, a highlight was seeing all the operations on the ground. Being able to experience this has really broadened my knowledge of the business side of aviation.”
Founded in 1996 with a post-war hut in Stapleford, UK and a two-aircraft air taxi service to ferry jockeys between races, Luxaviation UK has grown to become one of Europe’s largest business aircraft charter operators. Originally known as London Executive Aviation, the company joined Luxaviation Group in 2014, became Luxaviation UK, and continued to grow its fleet.
George Galanopoulos, CEO, Luxaviation UK, says: “We’re incredibly proud to celebrate this milestone, and are thankful to all members of our team for their continued excellence in offering our clients the very best. We would also like to extend our genuine gratitude to all those who have supported us over the years.
“The next step for us is to continue expanding, having already announced the addition of a Praetor 600 and Gulfstream 550 to our fleet in 2026, with more to come. We also continue to nurture our relationships with local colleges and young professionals, as they are the future of our industry and will carry Luxaviation UK into the next 30 years, supported by the guidance of our experienced team.”
Patrick Hansen, CEO, Luxaviation Group, adds: “Luxaviation UK, and its CEO, George Galanopoulos, can be very proud of their achievements over the last 30 years. They have contributed greatly to the industry and we are honoured to have them as an entity within the Luxaviation Group.”
Luxaviation UK also celebrated with its team members and friends on a luxury boat cruise on the River Thames, supported by the Oyster Society.
