Saxon Air is an award-winning aviation business offering a range of aviation services. Employing more than 50 people, they offer charter services across their fleet of jets and helicopters around the UK, Europe, and worldwide. Their Norwich FBO offers handling services for all types of aircraft, also specialising in offshore helicopter support, with over 30,000 passenger movements in the last 12 months. They also offer office and hangar leasing, training, and event spaces at their Norwich Airport Business Aviation Centre (BAC).

SaxonAir have embedded sustainability with a robust green strategy, including leasing the world’s first fully electric aircraft NEBOAir, the Pipistrel Velis Electro. Carbon emissions from all company flights are offset, and use of SAF is advocated wherever possible. Their BAC also implements sustainability measures wherever possible, from locally sourced produce and green car parking points through to being home to a colony of bees whose behaviour is studied as part of emissions and rewilding research. Events have been hosted aimed at raising awareness of the importance of aviation to sustainability initiatives, such as their Wild Weekend event in partnership with Explorers Against Extinction.

Saxon Air have worked with NUNCATS and the International Aviation Academy (IAA) in Norwich to give young people an opportunity to take part in a summer school to build the first ever British electric light aircraft. Saxon Air have been recognised for their efforts, not just for sustainability but their helicopter charter, too. In 2022, the company took home Helicopter Charter Operator of the Year at the Air Charter Association Awards, as well as the Going Green award at the East of England Energy Group’s 2022 End of Year Awards. Saxon Air have also been recognised in the Norfolk Business Awards’ and the Netherlands British Chamber of Commerce awards’ sustainability categories.
