Harrods Aviation to re-open London Luton and London Stansted FBO’s
Air Harrods to recommence operations
On the 27th March, in response to the UK Government’s Covid 19 guidelines, the very difficult decision was taken to temporarily close Harrods Aviation and Air Harrods. This was clearly not a commercial decision, rather one taken by the board to safeguard the welfare of their staff, customers and in the wider general interests of the country.
Harrods Aviation and Air Harrods would like to thank all customers and partners for their very generous understanding and support during what has been a demanding month long closure
On Monday 04th May Harrods Aviation are very pleased to announce both the London Luton and the London Stansted FBO’s and maintenance hangars will re-open. Air Harrods, the helicopter management business, will also fully recommence operations.
Initially hours of operation and staff numbers will be limited for safety reasons, but as the situation becomes clearer and aircraft movement numbers increase it is expected to get closer to normal operating by the summer months.
‘We are confident we have in place the correct measures to ensure we can operate efficiently and safely at both bases’ stated Kerry Besgrove, Operations Director, ‘with new arrival and departure procedures in place, health screening and a very strict entry policy to our facilities, we feel the time is right to safely open once again our operation.’
Managing Director, Paul Norton commented; ‘I would like to thank our incredible workforce who, to a person, have been understanding and supportive during this pandemic, both those furloughed and those who remained working from a home environment, I thank you’.
