The Corporate Aviation Safety Executive (CASE) was formed by a group of Safety Managers in an effort to collate data and monitor trends over the whole business aviation community with the express purpose of improving aviation safety.

We want to ensure the highest standards of aviation safety are met with particular emphasis on Business Aviation. It’s a great opportunity to share aviation safety data freely in a confidential environment.

Malcolm Rusby, with the founding members, did a fantastic job of creating CASE in 2008. Malcolm has now moved onto new opportunities.

We would like to announce the appointment of Brian Humphries as the new chairman for CASE. Brian has a longstanding commitment to safety both in the Royal Air Force and as Managing Director and CEO of Shell Aircraft International, where he led a highly successful drive to enhance safety across Shell’s global flight operations amounting to over 100,000 hours per year. Brian has also served separate tenures at EBAA as chairman, president and CEO since 1996; was Chairman of the British Helicopter Association for 10 years, and did a three-year term as chairman of the Montreal-based Business Aviation Council (IBAC), representing the interests of business aviation globally at ICAO.

We will be looking for volunteers to join the existing committee to help guide and drive CASE in the right direction.

Please join us in helping to reinstate CASE, if you are attending the BBGA conference on the 8th March, at the Luton Hoo Hotel drop by the stand co-located with Osprey Flight Solutions.

If you are unable to attend the conference but would be interested in joining CASE please send an email to Vicky Ross, Vicky.ross@ospreyfs.com at Osprey Flight Solutions.
