Montreal-based business aviation support services company ACASS has been issued a renewal of its IS-BAO Stage 3 registration from the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC). This prestigious designation verifies that Safety Management System (SMS) activities are fully integrated into ACASS’s aircraft management operations and that a positive safety culture is consistently sustained.
“While our clients never doubt our commitment to uncompromising operational safety, this recognition by IBAC reaffirms it in a highly visible way and we are proud of what it says about the exceptional safety culture sustained by our staff around the world” says Derek Holter, ACASS VP of Operations.
The International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations was introduced by IBAC in 2003. It is a code of best practices designed to help flight departments worldwide achieve a superior level of safety and professionalism. The IS-BAO Stage 3 registration is the highest-level registration issued by IBAC and has been awarded to only a select group of aircraft operators worldwide. Audits are conducted every 2-3 years to ensure conformance with the standards and recommended practices.
“Regardless of how ACASS evolves or the new support service innovations we introduce to our clients, safety remains at the heart of everything we do,” says Andre Khury, ACASS CEO. “The renewal of our IS-BAO Stage 3 registration reflects that persistent focus.”
The IS-BAO Stage 3 registration comes as ACASS is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its founding in 1994, a milestone Khury says demonstrates the success of the company’s safety-and-service focused formula.
“As much as we have grown over the last 25 years, the foundational elements of who we are really have not changed at all” says Khury. “I think the trust that depenability engenders is a big part of why so many of our clients stay with us year after year.”
ACASS is a worldwide provider of highly customized support services for business aviation. For 25 years, they have empowered leaders to own their journeys with world-class expertise and best-in-class services, including aircraft sales and acquisition, aircraft management and flight crew staffing.
