22 May 2018; London, UK: High-net-worth individuals will be taking to the skies this weekend as Luxaviation UK, one of the country’s leading private jet charter operators, prepares for its busiest weekend of the year.

Luxaviation UK is expecting its entire fleet to be in use from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th May, to cater for the UEFA Champions League Final in Kiev and F1’s Monaco Grand Prix, with 70% of aircraft being used to fly passengers to the two major sporting events.

George Galanopoulos, Managing Director, Luxaviation UK, says: “Big events in the sporting calendar, like the UEFA Champions League Final, make up a large part of our business year on year. Whether this is flying groups of fans to cheer on their team or flying a star player’s agent and management staff, there is always high demand. This is reflected by the fact that a large proportion of our fleet is going to be in the air as a direct result of one of the biggest sporting weekends of the year.”

A flight on an Embraer Legacy 600, with space for 13 passengers, from London’s Luton Airport to Kiev’s Zhulyany Airport would take three hours and twenty minutes at an approximate cost of £37,000 with Luxaviation UK. A flight on a Citation XL, capable of flying eight passengers, from Luton to Nice Cote d’Azur Airport would cost approximately £11,000 with Luxaviation UK.

Patrick Margetson-Rushmore, Chief Executive, Luxaviation UK, says: “Whilst we are expecting the late May bank holiday to be a particularly busy weekend, this does not detract from the care and attention to detail that goes into each and every one of Luxaviation UK’s flights. We see every flight as an event, much like the sporting occasions that fall over the weekend, that must leave us in pole position – second best just isn’t good enough. We are really looking forward to this weekend and are hopeful that our customers get the results they desire on the football field and the race track.”
