1 February 2018: ExecuJet, part of the Luxaviation Group, is celebrating a successful 2018 World Economic Forum (WEF), handling a record 620 business aircraft movements during the event across three of its European facilities.
During this period, ExecuJet’s Zürich FBO, where its hangar and ramp facilities were fully booked for the duration, handled 232 flight movements. ExecuJet’s recent partnership with People’s Airport in St. Gallen-Altenrhein brought in a further 377 movements and its Munich FBO handled 11 additional repositioning flights.
Basil Gamper, Manager, ExecuJet Zürich FBO, say s: “The World Economic Forum in Davos is a busy time for ExecuJet and we are very pleased to have had another very successful year at our Zürich facilities. With more than 230 movements in Zürich alone, our staff worked exceptionally hard to ensure that every client was greeted and dealt with according to the high standards expected from ExecuJet. We handled 35 large aircraft, including an Airbus A319, Tupolev 204 and Embraer 190, and sold more than 100,000 litres of fuel on Friday alone.”
ExecuJet partnered with People’s Airport St. Gallen-Altenrhein in November 2017, to co-manage the FBO facility on-site, enabling it to handle significantly more flight movements at the WEF.
Ettore Poggi, Group FBO Director, Luxaviation, says: “This is one of the key events in the Luxaviation Group’s calendar, so it is vitally important that we maximise the number of flight movements we are able to handle. Since announcing ExecuJet’s partnership with People’s Airport St. Gallen-Altenrhein, we have been able to handle considerably more flight movements compared to last year. We are very proud to have been able to demonstrate our reputation to more and more customers.”
