CJI London will do that to you. It’s like being force-fed a diet of everything that’s actually happening in the industry: registry requirements, creative financing, new tech, challenges facing UK and European operators, and yes even the inside scoop (well Al Whyte’s) on who’s going to win the FIFA World Cup.
Throw in a monster amount of networking and a surprise appearance from Heather Small (courtesy of Louisa Whyte) that had lawyers and bankers up boogieing at the end of a gruelling few days of fun and education, and you’ve got CJI.
For my own part, I learned a huge amount from the conversations with expert marketing and comms professionals, and it was fantastic to hear how video has worked for clients of ours who were there.
Taking an Award Home
The same week, I was also proud to be part of the team that won the Dawn to Dusk Club Trophy this year. Spending a day at Fairoaks Airport with Adam Twidell and Glen Heavens taking 49 people electric flying for the first time was fantastic. Ably supported by Grace Heavens on ground ops and Ali Buckley in the tower, plus many others, gave me excellent material for a video, which I’m also very proud of creating with my own fair hand. You can watch it here:
This Thursday I’m dropping our GearUp TV CJI video, created alongside my own fair team, which is my take on the themes, the people and what makes this event so special.
Best wishes,
Liz
