BBGA Vice Chair Alex Durand, Saxon Air had a rare opportunity to meet the Chancellor in Downing Street, ahead of the upcoming budget with his local MP Alice Macdonald who arranged the meeting.

Alex and Alice spoke about the importance of the aviation industry to UK growth, but also how this must be responsible.
Alex says “It was good to share the work we’re doing to progress this, and our focus on emissions reduction and job creation. I hope the visit also reinforced the important role business and general aviation plays in innovation and connectivity.  I suspect this year’s budget may still not offer everything we want, but it was encouraging to hear a commitment to support the Small and Medium size Enterprises that make up over 50% of UK business. The daily efforts of SMEs represent the most meaningful progress to increase productivity and employment”.
Its great to see this connection and we hope for more interactions between BBGA Members and their local MPs going forward.
