London City Airport, exhibiting at NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas this week, announced that the newest aircraft to receive full operational approval at the capital’s popular business airport is Dassault’s Falcon 6X.  The accomplishment builds on a long and successful relationship between the leading business aviation OEM and LCY, which commenced in the late 1990s with the Falcon 50, Falcon 10 and 100.

The addition of the long-legged 5,500 nm range jet will help meet the growing demand from both OEMs and operators for aircraft capable of meeting London City’s unique operational requirements, including its steep 5.5° approach and short runway, said Chris Clayton, Commercial Manager at The Private Jet Centre.   “The Falcon 6X, with its advanced performance, quiet operation and long-range capability, is now fully certified to operate at the airport.”

The 6X is also approved to use the steep approach at Lugano Airport in Switzerland and Gstaad Saanen Airport, the exclusive ski resort.

Did you know?  Dassault is the only aircraft manufacturer whose entire business jet family are approved to use London City Airport.

With ample parking and close proximity to the financial district and central London, operators can now take full advantage of the Falcon 6X’s capabilities.  “It’s a testament to the manufacturer’s dedication to ensuring all its aircraft meet the highest standards for access to key urban hubs,” added Chris Clayton.Operators interested in bringing their Falcon 6X into London City should contact jetcentre@londoncityairport.com
