Air bp, the international aviation fuel products and services supplier, is marking 30 years of successful collaboration with London Biggin Hill Airport (BQH/EGKB). Air bp is celebrating the achievement on its stand at the ACE Air Charter Expo which returns to Biggin today, 9 September. Air bp supplies the fuel farm at the airport, providing Jet A-1, and Avgas 100LL, together with a raft of associated aviation services, including fuel handling training support and supply vehicles for into-plane fuelling.

It is especially proud to support the airfield’s iconic heritage hangar, home to Spitfire and Hurricane aircraft. Fuelling a newly restored historic aircraft is a pleasure for Steve Elsworthy, who has been managing fuel services at the airport, working closely with Air bp over the past 17 years.
London Biggin Hill Airport was the first airport in the UK to take Sustainable Aviation Fuel from Air bp and was an early adopter of its cloud-based airfield automation services Safe2go, created to enhance safety, reliability and help prevent mis-fuelling.
Robert Walters, business development director, London Biggin Hill Airport said:
“We are delighted to be marking 30 years of continued support and trust in Air bp. This long-standing relationship is very important to us and our customers, and they have proved to be a most dependable partner. Thank you Air bp”
Linda Tames, Northwest Europe Sales Manager, General Aviation & Military, Air bp, commented:
“Thank you to London Biggin Hill for trusting in Air bp, keenly embracing our new innovations to improve the experience of our mutual customers. The airport is renowned for delivering excellent customer service. Its commitment to innovating complements our ethos as its long-standing fuel supplier.”
Since the opening Bombardier’s Authorised Service Centre in 2017, London Biggin Hill has welcomed larger aircraft and seen more visitors from the Middle East and the USA.
Located just 12 miles from central London, London Biggin Hill Airport is the only dedicated business aviation airport in the capital, which can be reached by helicopter in six minutes.
Air bp invites ACE delegates to join the team on the stand for coffee and a cupcake to celebrate this milestone.
