JEDDAH / March 25, 2021 — Jet Aviation announced today that it has received its Part 125 Operator’s Certificate from the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Swiss-based company has been operating in Saudi Arabia for more than 40 years, but the GACA Part 125 certificate is now required for all privately operated business jets based in Saudi Arabia.

Pursuant to recommendations made by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to promote safe flight operations, the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia requires all operators of private aircraft based in Saudi Arabia to obtain a GACA-approved (Part 125) Operator’s Certificate (OC). Jet Aviation received its Part 125 Operator’s Certificate from GACA and is in full compliance with all safety and operational regulations. The company currently manages a fleet of over 60 aircraft in EMEA and this certificate secures its authorization to manage aircraft based in Saudi Arabia.

“Our top priority at Jet Aviation is the safety of our customers, partners, employees and site visitors,” said Khaled Al-Ghamdi, General Manager of Jet Aviation in Saudi Arabia. “We also strive to offer our services as close to demand as possible. This certificate both recognizes our high standards and demonstrates our commitment to customers in the region.”

Within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jet Aviation operates FBOs in Jeddah, Riyadh, Medina, and Yanbu, all of which are IS-BAH Stage II certified except its newest in Yanbu, which earned IS-BAH Stage I registration in December 2020. It’s longest-standing FBO, in Jeddah since 1979, holds Saudi Arabian GACA-145 and FAA Repair Station approvals for line maintenance and aircraft-on-ground (AOG) services to private and business operators.

“The Middle East is of strategic importance to Jet Aviation Flight Services,” said Norbert Ehrich, Vice President Flight Services. “Our customers’ aircraft and business interests span the globe and, as a management company, our services and global service network are ideally suited to meet their requirements.”

In the Middle East, Jet Aviation was the first business aviation service provider to establish a maintenance facility at Dubai International Airport (DXB), where it has also been operating an award-winning FBO since 2005. In 2017, the company extended its offerings to Dubai World Central (DWC), where it supports FBO and line maintenance services.
