Please note from the 17 May 2024 the following changes will come into effect regarding invoicing and issuing certification for General Flight Crew (GFCL) and Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licence Validations by the Isle of Man Aircraft Registry:

  • Invoices for GFCL and AME licence validations will only be issued in the name of the licence holder;
  • Payment must be received before a validation will be issued;
  • GFCL and AME Certificates of Validation will only be sent to the licence holder and not to any third party such as an aircraft operator.

This change is necessary to:

  • protect and secure licence holders data;
  • generate an account for validation holders so they may access their validation certificates securely through ARDIS, enabling safe and seamless access at all times;
  • ensure a validation holder can comply with any legislative and operational requirements;
  • enable the licence holder to provide a copy of the validation certificate to an aircraft operator, if requested to do so.

Validation applications (Form 6 and Form 7) will be updated and made available for download from our website on the 17 May 2024.
