Capital Air Ambulance recently took up the opportunity of the newly established Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) supply at Centreline’s FBO at Bristol Airport to refuel its King Air 200 G-KVIP.
With fuel tanks filled with SAF, the aircraft departed Bristol Airport for Carcassonne to collect a patient in need of a specialist air ambulance transfer to the care of medical services in the Bristol area.
The ferry flight to Carcassonne and back to Bristol with patient on board passed without issue. On return to base and with the patient transferred, a thorough sanitisation process was completed to ready the aircraft for its next mission.
Centreline, a Pula Aviation Services Limited (PASL) business, has partnered with Air bp to supply SAF as part of PASL’s commitment to reduce the environmental impact of its operations.
By making SAF available for its own fleet, home based aircraft including Capital’s King Air 200 air ambulance fleet and aircraft visiting the FBO, Centreline is very pleased to be contributing to the business aviation industry sustainability journey.
