London Biggin Hill Airport 10th September 2024

It is nearly two months since the doors closed on the best-attended Air Charter Expo 2023, and reservations have already been accepted from a number of aircraft owners and operators to take a space at next year’s show.

Most exciting is the news that Dassault will stage the first UK appearance of its Falcon 6X at ACE’24 on the indoor static.

Dassault achieved EASA and FAA certification for the 6X in August of this year following a two year test campaign, and entry into service is imminent. The first units are undergoing final completion.

The 6X draws on decades of experience gained by a manufacturer that has established an enviable reputation for build quality and reliability. It is beautiful, it even has a skylight in the cabin ceiling.

Is it green? Happily its wings are honed to reduce drag and the two PW812D engines promise relatively low fuel consumption. Indeed, the engines are SAF compatible up to 50 per cent and the aircraft has routinely flown on SAF mixtures during flight testing. That’s important at a time when sustainability is top of everyone’s agenda.

We are so looking forward to putting this extra-widebody business jet on display next year. We think it will draw the crowds.
