Great to see the video content coming out of the Dubai Airshow, including great stories from one of my former students. I’ll give him a shout out so you can check it out for yourself on LinkedIn. (Asking forgiveness rather than permission here, Jeffrey Emmenis).

It shows how proficient you can get and puts you front and centre of your clients and prospects’ minds, as well as sharing some exciting uplifting stories from a huge and popular event on the aviation calendar.

I know there are some folk on this list who are starting to build more video into your marketing campaigns this year. And some who are not, or who are caught up in the tangle of what to do next.

If that sounds like you, I’d recommend hiring a video strategist, someone who can turn video into a long-term asset, not an occasional activity. Of course I’m happy to help out, it’s one of the services I provide. Even if we’re not a fit, I’d strongly suggest taking advice as you plan out your marketing content for the year. That counts for personal branding, too.

Again in the spirit of forgiveness rather than permission, I t hought I’d share with you a snippet from Andrew Monu, LinkedIn’s VP of Marketing on Joe Glover fantastic “Marketing Mentor” podcast, which you should definitely check out.

His point is exactly what I see every day:

Video works best when it sits inside a wider strategy, story, positioning, consistency, distribution.

And that’s the piece most companies are missing.

If you’re already mapping out next year’s campaigns, this is the moment to get strategic about your video:

  1. What are you saying?
  2. Who needs to hear it?
  3. How will you relay that message?

I’ve got spots for two more regular clients for LinkedIn/Video next year. If you’d like to take one, respond with why you think we’d be a good fit.

All best,

Liz – Lady in Red | Aviation Video Storyteller

P.P.S.  As I have been saying for many months…LinkedIn has been the go to platform for B2B marketers for some time. Trust me, it’s getting busy out there. So ensuring you’re visible is not just a nice to have.
