It’s a cliche – but you never do work a day in your life if you love what you do and Southend Jet Centre’s Open Day reminded me why I still feel lucky.
Nigel Mayes and Richard Walker who are spearheading it’s phenomenal growth this year invited me to moderate a panel on charter, where I learned what’s hot in the pipeline from Textron’s Ashley Namihas, and what’s needed to manage it from Hunt & Palmer’s Julie Black and Luxaviation UK’s Alex Miles.
So that was an education.
And of course, a big part of my objective was business development.
Which left me little time to shoot and edit video.
Which is where some of today’s fantastic templates plus AI really earn their stripes.
I walked away with conversations to continue and a few shots that turned into a great little video that was easy to shoot and edit and helps with consistency of showing up on social and enables that parasocial relationship I spoke about on Tuesday.
Broken record time here – but most aviation brands still don’t show up well on video. They overthink it or avoid it.
But business development and personal branding don’t need to be separate things. And authenticity will become increasingly important.
You can capture connection and credibility in under 90 seconds — if you know how.

🚀 PS LinkedIn has been the go to platform for B2B marketers for some time. Trust me, this year it will be THE place to be and organic content will really fly- so ensure you’re visible there. Think Facebook 5 years ago.
