We have an opportunity to meet with the CAA on the 27th of June at LGW from 1100- 1500. This offer has been extended from Mark Swan the Director Safety and Airspace Regulation, following a discussion at the RAeS Business Aviation event.  As an industry we have been sharing our thoughts on Performance Based Regulation and Performance Based Oversight with the CAA, which has acted as a catalyst for this event.

The intention of the day is to have a short initial brief from Mark Swan on the progress of PBR/PBO.  We will then look to workshop the issues which we feel are impacting us as an industry. The three themes are:-

·     With the current regulations what issues are we seeing that are not being implemented as we would   expect.

·     Are there areas of the current activities which we don’t understand?

·     Are there areas of the regulations that we do not agree with and would like to see changed. Clearly appreciating that we are under EASA regulations.

There will be an opportunity after the workshop to view the Shared Service Centre on the ground floor to better understand how the CAA handles our transactions.

The space will be limited so the plan is to offer 50 places to BBGA members and we will allocate places on a first come first served basis.

If you have any particular areas of concern that you would like the CAA to work, then please highlight those to Marc Bailey as soon as possible and he will forward to them to complete any pre work.

We really hope that from right across our membership you will take the opportunity to join us and voice your opinion.

Please confirm your attendance, by latest 20th June, so we can book your place with CAA.
